Thai practical shooting leads with strong momentum, eyeing 4 gold medals at the SEA Games as planned.


The practical shooting competition at the 33rd SEA Games was held at the Practical Shooting Range, Eastern National Sports Training Center, on 14 Dec 2025 GMT+7. Thai shooters performed well, currently leading in 3 categories and closely trailing in another. With one day remaining on 15 Dec 2025 GMT+7 for the final 6 stages, Thai shooters have a strong chance to secure the targeted 4 gold medals.

Over the past three days of scoring, the top Thai shooters are: in the men's open category, "Guy" Weerawit Charukiatphongsa leads with 1,128.5002 points; in the women's standard category, Phattharathida Makkaew leads with 784.5803 points; and in the women's production category, Police Lieutenant Patcharin Inhom leads with 879.9073 points.

In the women's open category, Mintra Pramot trails Philippine shooter Irin Matthea Micro by only 37 points, with Irin scoring 927.2355 and Mintra 889.9780 points. With 6 stages remaining on the final day, Mintra still has a high chance to increase her score and win the gold medal in this event.

Philippine shooters currently lead in three categories: men's standard category with Rolly Texson Nathaniel leading at 1,118.4886 points; men's open production optics category led by John Edcel Gino with 1,095.9472 points; and women's production optics category led by Janis Pibel at 883.7303 points.

In the men's production category, the current leader is Vincentius Jajadinkrat from Indonesia, with 1,101.1959 points.
