In the women's individual time trial, Petchdarint Somrach earned silver and Chaniporn Battiya took bronze. The cycling road events at the 33rd SEA Games on 15 Dec 2025 GMT+7 featured two gold medals. In the morning, the women's individual time trial took place from Dan Noen Hom to the Training Center 5 in Khao Yai National Park, Nakhon Nayok Province, covering 29.2 km. The start was officially signaled by "Sergeant Muek," General Decha Hemkrasri, Vice President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), President of the ASEAN Cycling Federation (ACF), and President of the Cycling Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage. In the afternoon, the men's individual time trial ran from Suan Burapha Prachapakdi, Prachinburi Province, to the same training center, spanning 41 km, with General Decha and Mr. Sanya Namee, Deputy Governor of Prachinburi, jointly releasing the riders.

In the women's individual time trial, two Thai national cyclists, "Prae" Sgt. Petchdarint Somrach and "Beam" Lance Corporal Chaniporn Battiya, finished second and third respectively, with times of 1:02:32 and 1:02:40 hours, earning silver and bronze medals. The gold was claimed by Delia Priyatni Agustina of Indonesia with a time of 59:18 minutes.

In the men's individual time trial, "Matum," Wing Commander Pheeraphol Chaochiangkwang, did not disappoint Thai fans as he fought hard to finish in 1:07:28 hours, winning the gold medal—the sixth for the Thai cycling team. Silver went to Alex Poonsawat of Laos at 1:08:18 hours, and bronze to Rosli Muhamad Nur Aiman of Indonesia with the same time. "Frame," Lance Corporal Thanakarn Chaiyasombat, placed fourth at 1:18:25 hours, just 7 seconds behind the Indonesian cyclist. The award ceremony was honored by General Decha Hemkrasri and Mr. Chaiya Huaikhongthong, Head of Khao Yai National Park, who presented medals and souvenirs. The Thai national team's medal tally at this SEA Games stands at 6 golds, 4 silvers, and 1 bronze.

After the competition, General Decha said that with six gold medals achieved, the team has met its goal. He praised the fighting spirit of Pheeraphol and Thanakarn, who maintained strong performance levels. He expressed regret that Thanakarn missed out on bronze but noted that three more road race golds remain: men's team road race, men's individual road race, and women's individual road race. The athletes are determined to continue fighting. He thanked all coaching staff for their efforts. He also commended Petchdarint and Chaniporn, noting Petchdarint performed as trained, and Chaniporn improved her time, though Indonesian cyclists were faster, requiring tactical adjustments. He urged Thai fans to support the athletes in the final women's individual road race.

Pheeraphol expressed gratitude to all Thai sports fans for their support, thanked General Decha, the Cycling Association, teammates, coaches, and his family for their backing. He also thanked himself for not giving up despite being 40 years old and pledged to continue fighting if the president continues to support him.

Thanakarn said, “I’m not disappointed about missing a medal. When Pheeraphol won gold, it felt like I won too. We’re all part of Team Thailand, regardless of who wins. After yesterday’s team time trial disappointment, I told myself to enjoy the ride today, which I did. I’m glad to be a target for the competitors to help Pheeraphol improve his time a bit more. I thank all Thai people and my family who have supported me since day one. For the remaining men’s team and individual road races, we will aim to win both golds. Thank you.”
