On 15 December 2025, the 33rd SEA Games, hosted by Thailand, held the fifth day of athletics competitions at Suphachalasai Stadium.

The eagerly awaited event was the men's 4x100m relay, where Biw Phuriphon Boonsorn aimed for his third gold after already winning two golds in the men's 100m and 200m sprints, breaking the SEA Games records in both events.

The Thai men's 4x100m relay team lineup was: first leg Oat Thawatchai Hiemiat, second leg Biw Phuriphon Boonsorn, third leg Chaokway Chayut Kongprasit, and anchor leg Ta Sorarot Dabbang.

The Thai relay team executed smooth baton exchanges and finished first with a time of 38.29 seconds, breaking their own SEA Games record of 38.58 seconds set in the 2021 SEA Games in Vietnam.
