Thailand Edges Philippines to Win 3 Golds in SEA Games Practical Shooting

Thailand edged the Philippines to capture three gold medals in practical shooting at the SEA Games.


The 33rd SEA Games practical shooting competition took place at the Eastern National Sports Training Center on 15 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the final day featuring eight gold medals. Thai shooters performed strongly, winning 3 golds, 4 silvers, and 1 bronze.

Thailand’s gold medals included the Open Men's Individual category, where Wirawit Charukiatphong scored 1,660.4064 points. Silver went to Prabu Rukyan Raga Nalindra of Indonesia with 1,632.3037 points, and bronze to Gerard Loy of the Philippines with 1,517.4139 points.

In the Standard Women’s Individual category, Pattharathida Makkaew won gold with 1,167.4181 points. Silver was claimed by Azzisa Putri Haryanto of Indonesia with 1,122.0495 points, and bronze by Stephanie Katrini Lee of the Philippines with 1,101.4280 points.

In the Production Women’s Individual category, Kanyanat Prasertjaroensuk took gold with 1,329.1287 points. Silver went to Evelyn Woods of the Philippines with 1,150.9254 points, and bronze to Jafar Missy of Malaysia with 1,015.2944 points.

Philippine shooters secured four gold medals, including Open Women’s Individual where Irin Mattia Micro won gold with 1,399.3154 points. Silver went to Sarah Ayu Tamela of Indonesia with 1,368.6061 points, and bronze to Mintra Pramot of Thailand with 1,347.4685 points.

In Standard Men’s Individual, Rolly Nathaneel Tekson of the Philippines won gold with 1,680.7889 points. Silver was taken by Sergeant Natthawat Nokthaisong of Thailand with 1,421.83 points, and bronze by Christian Hans of Indonesia with 1,334.2401 points.

In the Production Optic Men’s Individual category, John Edsel Gino of the Philippines earned gold with 1,654.0344 points. Silver went to Peeranut Tanpairoh of Thailand with 1,421.8367 points, and bronze to Muhammad Evaludin of Indonesia with 1,507.6242 points.

In Production Optic Women’s Individual, Genesis Pibel of the Philippines won gold with 1,293.7900 points. Silver was claimed by Thanawadee Peakyaem of Thailand with 1,289.7216 points, and bronze by Sukmawati Ableh of Indonesia with 1,002.8508 points.

Another gold medal went to Indonesian shooter Vincentius Jajadiningrat in Production Men’s Individual with 1,655.4542 points. Silver was taken by Natthaphum Kamluang of Thailand with 1,584.6081 points, and bronze by John Aaron Lanusa of the Philippines with 1,555.8814 points.

After the competition, Mr. Vitaly Kruchin, President of the International Practical Shooting Confederation, who attended as a guest, expressed gratitude to the SEA Games Federation for allowing practical shooting to be included for the first time in this Olympic-recognized multi-sport event. He hopes the sport will continue to be part of future games and thanked the Thai government for organizing the event so well.

Meanwhile, Associate Professor Pimon Srivikorn, President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand and Chair of the SEA Games Council, praised the debut of practical shooting at the SEA Games. Despite being its first inclusion, the event was a success with five participating countries and well-organized competition at a standard venue. He hopes the sport will be included in future SEA Games continuously.
