On 17 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the 33rd SEA Games tennis competition at the National Tennis Development Center in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi, reached the mixed doubles semifinals. Both Thai pairs advanced to this stage amid a large crowd of supporters.

Starting with the first pair, "Earth" Piangthan Phonpipat teamed with "Nat" Pratchaya Isaro in the semifinals against Indonesia's Aldila Sutjiadi and Christopher Rungkat. This pair had previously met in the 2023 SEA Games final, where Piangthan and Pratchaya took silver. Meanwhile, the other pair, "Eve" Patcharin Cheepchandej and "Mangpor" Phawit Sonlaksap, lost the first set to Alexandra Eala, the Filipino rising star, paired with veteran Francis Alcantara. However, in the second set, the Thai duo improved their coordination to even the match at 1-1 sets, forcing a deciding super tiebreak.

They eventually won an exciting match with scores of 5-7, 7-5, and a super tiebreak 10-7 over Alexandra Eala and Francis Alcantara. This ensures that the mixed doubles final at the 33rd SEA Games will be an all-Thai affair, guaranteeing Thailand both gold and silver medals.
