"Mongkutphet Phetprao Fa" missed the gold medal in the women's 45 kg Muay Thai event at the 2025 SEA Games, disputing the judging. Promoter Boat vents strongly, declaring the match was fixed.
On 17 Dec 2025 GMT+7, after the competition, young promoter Natdet Wachirattanawong, known as 'Promoter Boat' from Petchyindee camp, expressed his anger, calling Thai fighters victims. He said, “I’ve watched countless fights, but I have never seen a match as disgraceful as this one. It was so rough, absolutely unacceptable. Each round, we had no idea how the decision could go against us. Everyone watching here and at home can see the same thing clearly. Honestly, even just judging normally, I don’t understand how they could lose.”
Yesterday, there were rumors of match-fixing. At first, I didn’t believe it—thought it impossible at the SEA Games level, an international regional sports event. But today, seeing it with my own eyes, I am 100% convinced it’s true. The match was definitely fixed.
All the fighters competing today are victims—victims of this SEA Games event. They trained for three months without any allowance, only receiving it before the final match yesterday. They lost three full months, missing chances to fight professionally. For example, Mongkutphet earns 250,000 baht per fight; missing two fights in three months means losing 500,000 baht. And now, they are cheated again today. I say stop this—don’t exploit Muay Thai like this anymore.
I don’t know who is proud of this or what benefit it brings the country. Thai fighters often get cheated abroad, but this is the first time it happened on home soil—with foreigners cheating us here, and everyone seems to accept it willingly. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. Muay Thai fighters should never have to lose unfairly. Watching it, it’s obvious. I’m not just siding with my fighters, but it’s clear—how could they lose? In the third round, I swear you’d need a gun to win a medal. Without that, I don’t see how they could win.
From now on, stop it—not stop fighting Muay Thai, but stop fighting for the national team. I won’t send my athletes to the national team anymore because it benefits no one. My fighters lose out—they could be fighting in my events but instead have to stay with the national team for a year, losing a whole year. After the competition, my fighters get nothing. I don’t even know who benefited from this competition today.
