“Jet Ski World Cup 2025” Opens Grandly with Thai Youth Winning 2 Championships

The “Jet Ski World Cup 2025” opened grandly with Thai youth already capturing 2 championships at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya.

The world jet ski championship event “Thai Airways WGP1 Waterjet World Cup 2025” at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya, Chonburi, began its first day of competition on 17 December. The races started with youth and amateur classes, progressing up to professional categories featuring renowned racers from around the world competing intensely.

Besides being the largest speed race on water globally—combining the world championship, the King’s Cup celebrating its 30th anniversary under the royal patronage, the World Series trophy, and the Asian championship—the venue also welcomed motorsport fans to view various booths showcasing innovations in jet skis, WGP#1 apparel and souvenirs, among many other attractions.

Additionally, the Toyota booth—the official vehicle of the world jet ski championship—displayed an actual competition drift car. Importantly, the motorcycle of “Kong” Somkiat Chantra, used in the World Superbike Championship, was also exhibited. The booth of the Department of Intellectual Property alongside the Thai GP IP Global project highlighted that the “Thai Airways WGP1 Waterjet World Cup 2025” and the Jet Ski World Series are world-class competitions owned by Thai rights holders.
