On 17 December 2025, the latest medal summary for the 2025 SEA Games after the eighth day of competition shows the Thai athletes continue to win gold medals relentlessly across multiple sports, including weightlifting, table tennis, Muay Thai, snooker, tug of war, handball, and others.
The Thai team added another 25 gold medals, bringing their total to 185 golds, firmly securing first place without any serious challengers. Thailand leads second-placed Indonesia by over 100 gold medals, while third-place Vietnam trails far behind by 121 gold medals.
1st place: Thailand – 185 gold, 120 silver, 79 bronze; total 384 medals.
2nd place: Indonesia – 72 gold, 85 silver, 94 bronze; total 251 medals.
3rd place: Vietnam – 64 gold, 68 silver, 94 bronze; total 226 medals.
