Unstoppable Mananchaya Falls 0-2 to Ariella to Take Silver in Womens Singles Tennis at SEA Games 2025

Unstoppable "Mananchaya Sawangkaew" lost 0-2 to "Alexandra Ariella" to claim the silver medal in women's singles tennis at the "SEA Games 2025."


On 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the tennis competition at the 33rd SEA Games 2025 was held at the National Tennis Development Center, Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi province. In the women's singles final, "Mai" Mananchaya Sawangkaew, Thailand's third seed and world No. 238, faced Alexandra Ariella, the Philippines' top seed and world No. 52, amid a large crowd of fans, especially from Thailand and the Philippines.

The result showed that "Mai" Mananchaya Sawangkaew fought hard, but Alexandra Ariella played excellently, winning 2-0 sets with scores of 6-1 and 6-2, capturing the women's singles gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games.

Meanwhile, "Mai" Mananchaya Sawangkaew of Thailand, competing in her first SEA Games, took silver, while the bronze medals went to Thatsaporn Naklor of Thailand and Janice Chen of Indonesia.
