The Thailand national football team remains unchanged in the SEA Games football champions list after "Vietnam" won their 4th gold medal.
On 18 Dec 2025 GMT+7, the SEA Games men's football champions list was finalized after the 2025 SEA Games final, where the Thailand national team narrowly lost to Vietnam in extra time, 2-3.
This caused the Thailand national team to miss out on their 17th SEA Games football championship and fail to secure a 4th consecutive title, continuing their 8-year wait for SEA Games gold since their last win in 2017 Malaysia under coach Worawut Srimaka.
Meanwhile, Vietnam successfully claimed their 4th championship following victories in 1959, 2019, and 2021, ranking 4th in the SEA Games football champions list, while Thailand remains the top champion with the most titles.

2. Malaysia - 6 gold, 6 silver, 8 bronze medals (total 20)
