On 18 December 2025, following the Thailand national team’s 2-3 extra-time loss to Vietnam in the 2025 SEA Games final, they narrowly missed claiming the 17th SEA Games gold medal.
After the game, Madame Pang Nuangphorn Lamsam, president of the Football Association of Thailand, greeted the media and briefly said, "heartbroken."
However, Madame Pang has not given an official interview yet and plans to speak fully with the media after the men's futsal match, where Thailand will face Indonesia at Nonthaburi Stadium on 19 December 2025 at 19:00 GMT+7.
