Teerathep and Sanrawat Respond to National Team Seniors Heated Comments After Thailand Misses SEA Games 2025 Championship

Teerathep Winothai and Sanrawat Dechmitr responded to national team seniors who made "heated" remarks after Thailand missed the "SEA Games 2025" championship.

On 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7, "Lee Sor" Teerathep Winothai and "Camp" Sanrawat Dechmitr responded to a former national team senior, a legend to many Thai football fans, who made sharp and intense comments after the "War Elephants," Thailand's national team, failed to win the men's football championship at "SEA Games 2025." Thailand drew 2-2 with the "Golden Star," Vietnam's national team, in 90 minutes (Thailand led 2-0), but lost 2-3 in extra time.

"Lee Sor" Teerathep Winothai commented after seeing the post, "We should encourage each other instead of insulting. You are also a former national team player. Analyze and criticize, yes, but don’t insult. When you played, you didn’t like being insulted either. Show some respect. They are all your seniors."

Meanwhile, "Camp" Sanrawat Dechmitr wrote at length, "Big brother, I understand what the senior means. Football is unpredictable, but the results are out. There has always been some back-and-forth. In your time and mine, we’ve all been criticized a lot. But what I say is, if we want to progress, let’s not block each other from the positions we need to reach. If we achieve that, no one will label or insult us. When people say they want this or that person to be coach, why not learn and improve individually to compete for the head coach role? As for me, I no longer have a chance to join the national team, but I hope to see the national team succeed in all squads. Let's work together to develop it, brother."
