
The Thai jet ski team delivered an outstanding performance, securing five world championships in one day on the third day of the World Jet Ski Championship at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya.
The "Thai Airways WGP One Waterjet World Cup 2025," featuring competitions for the world championship, World Series, and Asian championship at Jomtien Beach, Pattaya, Chonburi, held its third day on 19 Dec 2025 GMT+7. This day decided champions in amateur and semi-professional categories, with Thai competitors excelling by claiming five world titles.
Starting with the semi-professional standing boat category, Expert Ski GP, Thanawich Mollee, a Thai SEA Games gold medalist, continued his strong form by winning first place in the first three motos and closing with a first place in the final moto. Thanawich thus secured the championship with a perfect 240 points. Runner-up was French ace Hugo Pastoreño with 212 points.
In the amateur standing boat light category (Amateur Ski 4 Stroke Lites), Thai rider Intach Longniyom led by a wide margin after three motos, placing third in the final moto. Andrew Vo from the USA took first place, and Serge Alexeenko from Cyprus came second. With cumulative points from four motos, Intach won with 221 points, Alexeenko was runner-up with 207 points, and Andrew Vo placed third with 206 points.
In the amateur seated 1,100 cc engine stock category (Amateur R/A 1100 Stock), which prohibits engine modifications, after three motos, Thai competitor Lawanakorn Methanithikul claimed the championship with 173 points. Anton Nicholas Ignacio from the Philippines took second with 144 points, and Techin Methanithikul placed third with 133 points.
In the seated veterans category for riders over 35 with limited engine modifications (Veterans R/A Limited), Thai rider Attapon Khunsa contended closely with France's Pelletier Patrice, both tied on points before the final moto. In the last moto, Attapon performed better, finishing second while Patrice came fourth. Attapon thus won the championship with 207 points, Patrice was second with 187 points, and Russia's Ivan Kubabski placed third with 186 points.
The fifth Thai championship came in the youth women's Spark Stock timed category (1Lap slalom Junior 8-13 Women Spark Stock), with Panisara Twipat winning the title with 34 points. Runner-up was Ratinan Homkajorn with 33 points, and Chayapha Plodjong placed third with 31 points.
As a result, the Thai jet ski team has won a total of eight world championships over the past three days. Other notable results include the Endurance Open long-distance jet ski category, won by France's Hugo Pastoreño.
In the semi-professional seated Superstock category (Expert R/A Superstock), the champion was Fahad Alrayes from Kuwait. In the standing veterans GP category for riders over 35 (Veterans Ski GP), Jonathan Pan from the USA claimed the title.
