2025 SEA Games Result: The Thai futsal team suffered a heavy defeat to Indonesia, losing the championship for the first time.

On 19 December 2025, in the final match of the men's futsal at the 2025 SEA Games (a round-robin tournament of five teams), the Thai national futsal team, five-time champions with 9 points, faced Indonesia, one-time runners-up aiming for their first SEA Games gold medal.

In the first half, at the 13th minute, Thailand conceded a penalty. Firman Adriansyah took the shot and scored, giving Indonesia a 1-0 lead.

At the 17th minute, Indonesia extended their lead to 2-0 from a free kick, as Ardiansyah Nur passed to Syaki Saad who scored. The half ended with this score.

In the second half, at the 23rd minute, Indonesia scored a third goal from a kick-in, with Samuel Ego striking a left-footed shot into the net.

At the 28th minute, Indonesia increased their lead to 4-0 after intercepting the ball; Rizky Amanda scored.

At the 35th minute, Indonesia regained possession from Thailand and Ardiansyah Nur scored, making it 5-0.

At the 37th minute, Thailand scored their only goal: Worasak Srihrangpairoj assisted Krit Aransanyalak, who scored to make it 1-5.

At the 39th minute, Ardiansyah Nur intercepted the ball during Thailand's power play and scored from a long shot, extending Indonesia's lead to 6-1.

The game ended with Thailand losing 1-6 to Indonesia. Both teams finished with 9 points, but Indonesia had the better head-to-head record.

As a result, the Thai futsal team missed out on their sixth SEA Games gold medal and lost the championship for the first time in history, while Indonesia claimed their first gold medal in a surprising upset.
