TIIHA Announces Separation from Thailand Ice Hockey Association, Confirms Withdrawal of Players from All National Teams Pending Restructuring

TIIHA announces its separation from the Thailand Ice Hockey Association, firmly confirming it will withhold sending athletes to all national teams while awaiting organizational restructuring.

On 23 Dec 2025, the TIIHA ice hockey rink announced on Facebook that it would terminate its collaboration with the Thailand Ice Hockey Association effective from 20 December 2025.

Jumpon Krusakdapong, the rink owner, stated, “Since 2022, when TIIHA opened with the goal of contributing to the development of ice hockey in Thailand, we have partnered with the Thailand Ice Hockey Association on numerous activities, including organizing tournaments, serving as a national team training venue, conducting LTP programs with IIHF, and fully supporting various initiatives.”

“However, over the past one to two years, the association’s management philosophy has increasingly diverged from ours, alongside various minor personal issues involving myself and the two young players, Praew and Tongwang, which have escalated. The final straw was at the SEA Games, where personally, our family felt disappointed by what occurred, especially regarding the treatment of these two players.”

“For all these reasons, the TIIHA group, including TWIA Ekamai and TIIHA CM, officially announces the end of our relationship with the Thailand Ice Hockey Association as of 20 December 2025. Consequently, our rink reserves the right to refuse hosting any activities organized by the association.”

“Additionally, the two players will refrain from joining any national teams, including the U20 and senior teams competing in the World Championship events scheduled for March and April next year, until there are significant structural and management changes within the association. We add the hashtag: The national team is nobody’s property; it is built from the sweat and dedication of every athlete.”
