Thai National Sepak Takraw Team Member for SEA Games 2025 Faces Debt Collection Over 300,000 Baht

Trouble arises! A member of Thailand's national sepak takraw team for the 2025 SEA Games has not repaid a debt to former footballer Isaret Noijaiboon.

On 26 Dec 2025 GMT+7, Isaret Noijaiboon, a well-known traveling footballer, posted a public demand for repayment from a Thai national sepak takraw player, citing a loan made last year that remains unpaid in full, while criticizing the player's character.

Isaret posted: "To the national sepak takraw player, you owe money and refuse to pay. The debt dates back to last year. You keep making excuses, saying you'll repay after winning medals. You received 1.5 million baht in prize money but still haven't paid the debt. I have proof of transferring over 500,000 baht to you. You only returned 200,000 baht. You're truly unbelievable, ruining your own future with such bad character. This New Year, come up with the money. #SS #TT"

Recently, since he has not received repayment, Isaret posted again on Facebook.

Isaret wrote: “If you don't transfer the money, prepare to be dropped from the national team. I will take this to the association for sure. Debts must be repaid. The SEA Games funds have already been transferred by the association. If you don't pay, so be it. Initials SS, surname TT. #DelaysAgain #NationalSepakTakrawPlayer #TeamCaptain #DebtsMustBePaid”

Looking back, Isaret Noijaiboon is a former Thai footballer who gained notoriety in 2022 for an "elbow strike" incident against an opponent, which resulted in a three-year ban. Having served his suspension, he has returned to traveling football and recently joined Phichit United to resume his professional career. He has explained that the incident was a momentary lapse of judgment.
