Cheerio, also known as Kong, a male RoV player who was suspected, has admitted to acting as a stand-in for Tokyogurl and apologized to society and the country through a TikTok post on 2 January 2026.
On 2 January 2026, a hot topic arose in the Thai esports scene involving Tokyogurl, a female player on Thailand's national RoV team, who was suspected of using a stand-in during competitions to build her reputation and attempting to cheat in the 2025 SEA Games.
Recently, Cheerio, also known as Kong, the male RoV player linked as the stand-in, has personally admitted to the facts.
Cheerio posted a message on his personal TikTok account on 2 January 2026 confirming his involvement in using a third party to play on his behalf, as previously reported, and expressed remorse while officially apologizing to society.
"Hello, I am Kong, known in the scene as Cheerio.
I want to clarify the issues that arose during the SEA Games and other competitions where there were suspicions of a third party playing as a stand-in in several matches.
I admit that it did happen, as the news has reported.
I have taken time to reflect, feel remorseful for my actions, and sincerely apologize to society.
I accept full responsibility for what happened and will accept all criticism and consequences without excuses. I apologize to those affected by my selfish actions. I apologize to all Thai people for bringing shame to the country.
This incident is an important life lesson for me. I will reflect, improve, and correct myself, and I promise not to cause trouble for others or damage the country's reputation through my actions again.
Finally, I sincerely apologize to everyone once more.
I apologize to Mr. Santi Lothong, president of the Thailand Esports Association; I apologize to the Talon women's team and all women's teams who lost opportunities; I apologize to all involved in every tournament I participated in; and I apologize to everyone disappointed by the outcome.
P.S. I delayed making this statement because the issue escalated rapidly and intensely, leaving me unprepared and unsure how to respond to society. I apologize.
Currently, I am in a place where I am not ready to livestream to speak. When I return home, I will livestream to sincerely apologize and clarify what everyone wants to know again."
Meanwhile, Tokyogurl, another key person in this matter, has not issued any statement or made any public move at this time.
