Thai soldiers destroyed a Cambodian cockfighting arena established near Chong An Ma to prevent its reuse.
On 4 January 2026, fighting activity along the Thailand-Cambodia border showed no sign of ending.
Thailand has reclaimed many key areas from Cambodia, including Hill 677 at Chong An Ma, Hill 350, Prasat Kona, Prasat Phra Wihan, Prasat Ta Kwai, Phu Ma Khuea, Chong Bok, Prasat Don Tual, Chong Chom, and Chong Sai Ta Ku.
Recently, a viral video shared by the Facebook page ASEAN Morn Thai showed Thai soldiers destroying a Cambodian cockfighting arena, a traditional sport in Thailand, located at Chong An Ma.
The post captioned, "Thai soldiers destroyed the Cambodian cockfighting arena at Chong An Ma, Ban Nam Yuen, Song Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province, ensuring Cambodians will no longer have access to this site."
