Thailand to Host FIBA 3x3 Sponsor | Red Bull Champions Cup 2026 Basketball Tournament

Grandeur returns!! Thailand will host the FIBA 3x3 Sponsor | Red Bull Champions Cup 2026 basketball tournament, welcoming 16 world-class teams from 13-15 March at CentralWorld plaza.


On 13 January 2026, the grand return of the FIBA 3x3 Sponsor | Red Bull Champions Cup 2026 was announced. Organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) together with the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund, the Basketball Association of Thailand, Channel 7HD, and Tero Entertainment, Thailand will once again host this global 3x3 basketball event. Following the revolutionizing impact on Thai basketball’s international recognition in 2025, over 16 top teams will compete, offering Thai basketball fans a close-up, grand experience from 13-15 March 2026 at the CentralWorld plaza in Bangkok.


On 13 January 2026, the official press conference took place at Eden Zone, 1st floor, CentralWorld. Mr. Ignacio Soriano, FIBA Events Manager, opened the event. Also present were prominent sports figures including Ms. Pimol Srivikorn, President of the National Olympic Committee of Thailand; Mr. Nipon Chavalitmontri, President of the Basketball Association of Thailand; Mr. Pattanapong Nuphan, Managing Director of Channel 7HD; Mr. Brian L. Marger, Managing Director of Tero Entertainment Public Company Limited; and Ms. Mallika Luangnimitrmas, Marketing Director for TCP Group Thailand. Other notable attendees included Mr. Kevin Liu, Marketing Director of GAC AION Thailand; Mr. Nakorn Wimoljit Sa-ard, General Manager of Marketing Communications, Thai Honda Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; Ms. Apinya Mutawan, Head of B2C Marketing, centralwOrld; Ms. Wiyada Buranaphakorn, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Marketing, CRC Sports Co., Ltd.; Ms. Pitraporn Boonyaratpan, Senior Deputy Managing Director, Muang Thai Life Assurance Public Company Limited; Ms. Jiratchaya Ruangsiri, Director of International Marketing, Rama 9 Hospital; Mr. Monchai Chokpaiboonkit, Managing Director of Thai Sporting Goods Factory Co., Ltd.; Ms. Pornsuree Thianbunlertsat, Publisher Partnership, TikTok Thailand; and Mr. Nutdanai Kosaitananon, Business Director, Think Curve Group.


Also attending were Thai national basketball players including Supawadee Kunchuan (Bow), Panthawat Techasamran (New), and basketball enthusiast celebrities such as Auan-Rangsit Sirinanon,


Mark-Nattharit Worakornlertsit, Ploy-Ploysuree Tangtrakan, Pink-Arthitaya Wongsawiset, Ben-Santirat Kulnopkiat, Deland-Dechchai Thitiaphithan, and Melanie Marger (Melame), the artist behind the tournament’s main theme song “Bounce.”


The FIBA 3x3 Sponsor | Red Bull Champions Cup 2026 promises intense competition as a World Tour open event for the Champions Cup trophy. Sixteen top basketball teams, all continental champions, World Cup winners, or top performers of the year, will compete. The men’s division includes Australia, Spain, Lithuania, the United States, Madagascar, the Netherlands, defending champion Serbia, and host Thailand.

The women’s division features Australia, Spain, Azerbaijan, the United States, the Netherlands, Madagascar, defending champion Canada, and host Thailand.


Star players joining these teams include Strahinja Stojacic, the world’s number one 3x3 player from Serbia and reigning champion; 2024 Olympic champion Werthee de Jong, a fan favorite from the Netherlands; handsome and skilled Henry Caruso from the USA; tough and stylish Sandra Yegueravide from Spain; and Paige Crozon leading the defending champion Canadian team, among others.


The Thai national team, led by the sharp-shooting and handsome Chanathip Jakkrawan (Ohm), will be joined by Freddy Lisch and Junior-Imanuel Shinedu Ajesu. The women’s team features experienced players such as Bow-Supawadee Kunchuan and June-Rattiyakorn Udomsuk. They are expected to compete strongly with a real chance to reach the podium. Both men’s and women’s competitions will be divided into two groups of four teams, with the top two from each group advancing to the semifinals and ultimately the finals.


Another highlight remains the opportunity provided by the Basketball Association of Thailand for young Thai players to compete in the national Road To FIBA 3x3 Sponsor | Red Bull Champions Cup 2026 tournament, vying for honor trophies and special prizes from event sponsors. The qualifying rounds will be held across four regions nationwide, starting with the southern region in Nakhon Si Thammarat on 14-15 February 2026, followed by the northeastern region in Khon Kaen on 21-22 February 2026, the northern region in Chiang Mai on 28 February - 1 March 2026,


and concluding in the central region at Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya on 7-8 March 2026. The champions from each region will then compete in the grand final of the FIBA 3x3 Sponsor | Red Bull Champions Cup 2026 in Bangkok from 13-15 March 2026 at CentralWorld plaza.
