The grand opening of the national-scale robot competition “VEX Robotics Thailand 2025–2026” brought together 126 top youth teams from all regions to compete for the Thailand championship and select representatives for the global stage at the “VEX Robotics World Championship” in the United States.
The “VEX Robotics Competition Thailand National Championships 2025-2026” (VEX Robotics Competition Thailand National Championship 2025-2026) national final was held from 15-18 January 2026 to select the top Thai youth teams to compete in the world’s largest robotics event, the “VEX Robotics World Championship 2026.” This event is recognized by the Guinness World Records as the largest robotics tournament worldwide.
On 15 January 2026 at Central Chaengwattana Hall, Central Chaengwattana shopping center, the opening ceremony of the “VEX Robotics Competition Thailand National Championships 2025-2026” was held. This national-level robotics competition aims to promote Thai youth to the global stage. Dr. Suvit Maesincee, former Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, presided over the ceremony. Also present were Dr. Teerasak Chotikavanich, Assistant General Manager of Academic Affairs at ALL Robotics Institute; Assistant Professor Pornwit Patcharintanakul, Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM); Quang Hung Vu, Regional Support Manager of Robotics Education & Competition Foundation VEX Robotics; and Ms. Jaturaporn Thanapornsangsut, Vice President of Marketing Thailand and Indochina at Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
Dr. Suvit Maesincee, former Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, said the VEX Robotics Competition Thailand National Championship 2025–2026 is a key platform to promote the potential of Thai youth in robotics and technology. It aims not only to select teams representing Thailand on the world stage but also to cultivate skills in engineering thinking, systematic problem-solving, and teamwork. He emphasized that despite technological advances, the world’s direction depends on youth equipped with knowledge, ethics, and social responsibility. This competition is an important starting point for developing future human resources.
Dr. Teerasak Chotikavanich, Assistant General Manager of Academic Affairs at ALL Robotics Institute, revealed that the competition is not only a platform to showcase Thai youth’s engineering skills but also a learning space integrating STEAM disciplines—science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics. This helps develop creativity, teamwork, and systematic problem-solving. CP ALL and its affiliates are committed to continuously driving the 'People Development' policy, believing education is the foundation for national development and key to nurturing quality Thai youth for the global stage. The institute is honored to be officially entrusted by VEX Robotics and the Robotics Education & Competition Foundation as the host of the VEX Robotics Competition Thailand National Championship 2025-2026.
Ms. Jaturaporn Thanapornsangsut, Vice President of Marketing for Thailand and Indochina at Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the market leader in health supplements under the BRAND’S product line in Thailand and Indochina and the main sponsor of the competition, said: “Brand’s Essence of Chicken adheres to Suntory’s value of ‘Giving Back to Society’ by inspiring and promoting the potential of Thai youth to create positive social change continuously. Therefore, Brand’s supports the VEX Robotics Thailand National Championship 2025–2026 as the main sponsor to provide opportunities for Thai youth to develop innovation, technology, and creative thinking skills to advance internationally. We also focus on brain health through Brand’s Essence of Chicken, which contains carnosine and vitamin B12, supporting normal nervous system and brain function—fundamental for thinking, learning, and creativity—so youth are physically and mentally prepared. Additionally, Brand’s has provided sponsorship totaling 2 million baht, covering scholarships, prizes for winners, product distribution to all participants, and activity booths nationwide to support youth development comprehensively and proudly represent Thailand on the world stage in the USA.”
ALL Robotics Institute, under Panyathara Company Limited, part of CP ALL Group, has partnered with Panyapiwat Institute of Management, VEX Robotics, Suntory Beverage & Food (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and other leading partners to host this grand robotics engineering competition. More than 800 youth from 126 teams participated, with a panel of distinguished judges from educational institutions and leading organizations both domestically and internationally selecting Thailand’s representatives for the VEX Robotics World Championships 2026 in St. Louis, USA, in April 2026.
This competition aims to integrate the five core STEAM disciplines—science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics—through challenging, fun, and inspiring activities that cultivate a new generation of thinkers. This year’s special feature is regional competitions to provide opportunities for youth nationwide to showcase their potential. These include the South region at Prince of Songkla University, Surat Thani Campus (16–18 August 2025); the North region at Montfort College, Chiang Mai (16–17 October 2025); the Northeast region at The Mall Korat, Nakhon Ratchasima (8–9 November 2025); and the Central region at Panyapiwat Institute of Management (15–16 November 2025). Over 200 schools, 3,605 students, and 3,040 participants took part across these four regions, totaling 6,645 participants.
The Thailand national final of the VEX Robotics Competition Thailand National Championships 2025-2026 was held at Central Chaengwattana Hall, Central Chaengwattana shopping center, from 15–18 January 2026, with 126 teams participating and a total attendance of 1,860 people.
The competition is divided into two main categories: the VEX V5 Robotics Competition Push Back, which includes the Middle School division (V5RC MS) for participants up to 15 years old and the High School division (V5RC HS) for participants up to 19 years old.
