Thai Padel Players Win Amateur Titles, Closing PAD THAI PADEL GRAND SLAM – BANGKOK

On 19 Jan 2026 GMT+7, the PAD THAI PADEL GRAND SLAM – BANGKOK 2026 ended, part of the Asia Pacific Padel Tour (APPT). Held from 15-18 Jan 2026 GMT+7 at Pad Thai Padel, this was Thailand's first Grand Slam-level event, with total prize money of $13,000 USD (over 450,000 THB). It attracted top players from Spain and around the world.



The men's professional category (PRO Male) featured fierce competition, with Spanish players as main favorites. Miguel Gonzalez Garcia and Adrian Ronco, Spanish pro padel players, defeated a professional duo from the United Arab Emirates 2-0 sets (6-2, 6-4), earning over 125,000 THB in prize money, closing the evening with a strong finish.

In the women's professional category (PRO Female), the final was contested by top seeds Elisabeth Nogueras (Spain) and Joanna Tao Yee Tan (Philippines), who faced a skilled Spanish pair, Ceres Liñan Ramirez and Carla Serrano. The champions won 2-0 sets (6-3, 6-4), taking home about 53,000 THB.

Meanwhile, Thai athletes delivered outstanding performances by capturing amateur titles in two categories:

Amateur Female category winners: Nantarat Wattanapranekul and Chattida Timjapo.
Amateur Mixed category winners: Kasin Thampothithong and Dares Srirungreung.

Additionally, Thai professional players also achieved victories in the consolation rounds, which allow players eliminated in qualifying rounds a chance to compete again.

In the women's professional consolation category (PRO CONSOLATION FEMALE), Natalie Nakprasert and Dares Srirungreung were victorious.

In the men's professional consolation category (PRO CONSOLATION MALE), Wongsathorn Sawangchote paired with Spain’s Javi Tortajada to win.

Pro Category Results

Miguel Gonzalez Garcia and Adrian Ronco lived up to their billing as favorites, defeating their opponents from the UAE with a convincing 2 sets (6-2, 6-4) victory. The duo walked away with over 125,000 THB in prize money.
