Launch of the Junior Ballers League, a new dimension in youth basketball aiming to develop future national stars.
Bangkok—Think Curve, a leading online sports media, has partnered with Big One to announce a major collaboration: the launch of a new youth basketball competition called the Junior Ballers League, or JB League. The league focuses on creating a standard platform to develop young basketball talent and promote them as rising stars in the sport.
This collaboration stems from the shared vision of both Think Curve and Big One, recognizing the importance of building sports foundations from the grassroots level, especially among Generation Alpha, who are full of energy and talent. Their goal is to support a professionally managed competition platform that allows young athletes to fully showcase their abilities.
Kritikorn Thanmahamongkol, CEO of Think Curve, said the partnership with Big One marks an important step in advancing Thai basketball. He explained, "The JB League will not only be a sports competition but also a platform that inspires and gives Thai children real competitive experience, preparing them for future professional careers."
Pavitra Tatsawichai, CEO of Big One Group, commented,
"Our company’s vision and mission focus on creating opportunities and giving back to society, especially to youth. We have previously collaborated with Think Curve to transform deteriorated public spaces into beautiful, usable areas over the past four years."
"When discussing the idea of a youth basketball league that provides opportunities for many children with dreams, we immediately agreed to join this project," Pavitra added.
The Junior Ballers League (JB League) will focus competitions on two key age groups: 10-11 years and 12-13 years, which are crucial periods for skill development. The league aims to identify outstanding young talents—The Next Big Thing—to become key contributors to the future of Thai basketball.
Parents, basketball training academies, and schools interested are invited to register teams to compete in the Junior Ballers League and be part of a new chapter in Thai youth basketball history.
