Nopparutphong Boonpravesh broke the practice time record and moved up to chase the leader in the first round of the 2026 Moto4 European Cup in Spain.
The first round of the Moto4 European Cup at Montmelo, held at Circuit de Barcelona in Spain on Friday, 22 May 2026, saw "Oom" Nopparutphong Boonpravesh, a rising star from Honda Racing Thailand under the Honda Asia-Dream Racing Junior team, deliver impressive practice session results.
"Oom" Nopparutphong Boonpravesh, riding bike number 98 and placed in Group A with 27 riders total, completed 10 laps in FP1 with a time of 01:52.500 minutes, ranking 13th. He then improved his speed in FP2, completing 11 laps with a time of 01:52.278 minutes, moving up to 3rd place, just 0.286 seconds behind the group leader.
The 2026 Moto4 European Cup Montmelo round schedule includes another practice session on Saturday, 23 May at 13:45, followed by the first qualifying round at 17:05 and the second qualifying round at 20:00. The race is set for Sunday, 24 May at 18:00.
