On 30 Jan 2026 GMT+7, Attakorn Sirilattayakorn, candidate for Member of Parliament for Chachoengsao District 2 from the Kla Tham Party, harshly criticized a former Minister of Tourism during a campaign speech in Chachoengsao province after being accused of mishandling the 2025 SEA Games. He declared that without him, the situation would be far worse.
During his speech, Attakorn responded to the criticism regarding the 2025 SEA Games organization by saying, “They say I handled the SEA Games terribly. I’ll say this clearly: without me, it would have been much worse. They told the people of Bang Nam Priao that when they were in charge, they dressed properly but only lacked signing the budget. Everything else was in order.”
“Let me be honest with everyone: when I took over, believe it or not, what they called dressing properly was actually wearing just one pair of underwear with holes even at the back. How could they say they were properly dressed? I really got fired up. Normally, I don’t lose my temper like this.”
