Nareset Thada, Thai National Cyclist, Shines with Double Track Cycling Championships

Nareset Thada Bunma delivered an outstanding performance, winning double titles in the 1 km time trial for both the men's open and under-23 categories at the first round of the Thailand Track Cycling Championships.


On 31 January 2026, Nareset Thada Bunma, a member of Thailand's national cycling team for the 33rd SEA Games, delivered an excellent performance by securing double titles in the 1 km time trial for both the men's open and under-23 categories at the Thailand Track Cycling Championships for the Queen Sirikit Trophy 2026, first round. Meanwhile, Apisara Srimongkol won the under-23 women's category.


The Thailand Track Cycling Championships for the Queen Sirikit Trophy 2026, first round, took place from 30 January to 1 February 2026 at the Velodrome within the Sports Authority of Thailand at Huamak. On 31 January, the second day of the competition, 15 gold medals were contested. The event was broadcast live on Facebook via Thailand Cycling Association and TCA Channel, as well as on YouTube at TCA Channel, attracting over 6,000 combined viewers.


Notable results included the 1 km time trial for women’s open category: first place went to Natthaporn Aphimot, a Thai national cyclist from Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai team, with a time of 1:20.160; second place was Apisara Srimongkol from team PRIME19 with 1:21.490; third place was Corporal Kanarat Nokaeo from the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence team with 1:23.700.


In the 1 km time trial for women under-23, Apisara Srimongkol of team PRIME19 clocked 1:21.490, marking her third championship at this first round. Second place went to Phetlada Mankong of Fisherman Friend Wing 46 Phitsanulok team with 1:29.220, and third place to Kawinnat Kreuthong of HCCT by Uncle Teng’s Gas Station & KMUTNB with 1:29.800.


In the 1 km time trial for men’s open category, First Lieutenant Nareset Thada Bunma from the Thai national cycling team for the 33rd SEA Games, riding for the Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM, finished first with a time of 1:06.040. Second place was Police Senior Sergeant Major Yuenyong Phetcharat from the Border Patrol Police Command STC-THULE team with 1:07.740, and third was Jeerateep Kerdsomjit from HCCT by Uncle Teng’s Gas Station & KOM-KOM with 1:09.920.


In the 1 km time trial for men under-23, First Lieutenant Nareset Thada Bunma of the Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM won first place with a time of 1:06.040, securing a double championship. Second place went to Jeerateep Kerdsomjit from HCCT by Uncle Teng’s Gas Station & KOM-KOM with 1:09.920, and third was Phitchakorn Intharaksa from HCCT by Uncle Teng’s Gas Station with 1:15.780.


The 1 km time trial for girls youth category results were: first, Natthayan Phuget from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai team with 1:26.530; second, Siwaporn Phuttharam from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai team with 1:28.650; third, Kasasiri Ruangsiri from Navy-Rong Ngam Wittaya School team with 1:30.180.


In the 1 km time trial for boys youth category, first place went to Sirawit Saensai from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai team with 1:09.970; second, Kantapat Phosri from HERO BIKE - CK RACING - Ayutthaya Wittayalai School with 1:10.440; third, Napol Sonlom from Fisherman Friend Wing 46 Phitsanulok team with 1:15.430.

On Sunday, 1 February, starting at 07:30, 32 gold medals will be contested, including events such as keirin for girls youth and women’s open categories; team pursuit 4 km for men’s open; pursuit 2 km for boys and girls juniors; pursuit 3 km for boys and girls youth, men’s 35-44 age group, and men’s 45+ age group; pursuit 4 km for men’s and women’s under-23 and open categories; sprint for boys and girls juniors, youth, and open categories; scratch race 15 km for men’s under-23 and open; points race 30 km for men’s under-23 and open; points race 20 km for women’s under-23 and open; scratch 15 laps for men’s 35-44 age group; team sprint for men’s and women’s open, youth, and juniors; and scratch 10 km for men’s under-23 and open categories.
