Second Winter Swimming Event Held Grandly with Over 500 Mermaid Sharks Competing

The second Winter Swimming event was held grandly, drawing over 500 'mermaid sharks' from 56 clubs nationwide to compete. The Singha Swimming Club remained dominant, sweeping 60 gold medals to claim the top club award for the second time.


The 2nd Winter Thailand Open 2026 swimming competition (2nd Winter Thailand Open 2026 Sponsored by Speedo) contested the Ror Dor Thammanat Promphao trophy, president of the Thailand Aquatic Sports Association. The event was held consecutively for the second year at the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization swimming pool from 31 January to 1 February 2026 GMT+7.

This year, the competition was again held on a grand scale with international standards. General Jaturaporn Sunthornnont chaired the event, which received strong support from all sectors including Speedo Thailand, the global swimwear brand, represented by brand manager Sathimani Iamsam-ang; Singha Corporation Limited, represented by Sports Development Manager Suriya Suksupak; and Amino Vital, Japan's top-selling energy gel brand.

Similarly, the Thailand Aquatic Sports Association, Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organization, A&N Chlorine Removal Shampoo, Eco Friendly Thailand, Food Moment Public Company Limited, ESP Stadium, Dok Bua Koo, Orabella, Wiset Kai Yang Restaurant, The Flex Massage for Sports, Kasemrad Rattanathibet Hospital, and AIA also joined forces to support the event. This backing helped attract top national swimmers, youth national team members, and skilled athletes, totaling over 500 participants from 56 clubs nationwide.

going to Singha Swimming Club, who successfully claimed the title for the second time with a total of 3,722 points, achieved through 60 gold, 58 silver, and 52 bronze medals, along with a sponsorship prize of 50,000 baht.

The second place went to First Swim Team, again securing the position with 1,089 points from 21 gold, 18 silver, and 11 bronze medals, earning a sponsorship of 30,000 baht.

Mahidol Salaya Swimming Club took third place with 640 points, from 8 gold, 7 silver, and 4 bronze medals, receiving 20,000 baht. Fourth place was claimed by Top Form Swim Team with 490 points, awarded 10,000 baht.
