
Dr. Suwana Silpa-archa announced her readiness to take on a new role as manager of Thailand's men's national ice hockey team, highlighting her global experience to advance Thai athletes toward the 2026 World Championship.
Known as Dr. Kae, Dr. Suwana Silpa-archa officially accepted the position of manager for Thailand's men's national ice hockey team after receiving trust from the Ice Hockey Association of Thailand. She shared her vision to manage professionally and fairly, determined to apply her international ice sports management experience to build a strong foundation for the team with the ultimate goal of global competition.
Dr. Suwana Silpa-archa, or "Dr. Kae," is recognized for her significant role in the development of winter sports in Thailand over many years. She has been instrumental in supporting and managing athletes across various disciplines, including figure skating, short track speed skating, and leading the Thai curling team to achieve international recognition. Additionally, she holds a notable position as a commissioner within the International Skating Union (ISU), the world's largest governing body for ice sports.
Dr. Suwana Silpa-archa, manager of Thailand's men's national ice hockey team, stated:

I have always been proud to be part of advancing all ice sports in Thailand. Taking on this role, I am firmly committed to applying my international management experience to create an efficient, transparent, and fair working system for all athletes, to bring out the team's full potential."
Stepping into this crucial role, Dr. Suwana faces the major task of leading Thailand's men's national ice hockey team to compete in the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship Division III in South Africa this April, a key test to prove the strength of the Thai team on the international stage.
"The important test awaits us in South Africa this April. I am ready to devote my energy and work closely with the association and all athletes to bring honor to Thailand and show the world that Thai ice hockey is professional and poised to grow gracefully on the international level," Dr. Suwana concluded.
