Sports Authority of Thailand and Muaythai Committee Conclude Foreign Muay Thai Instructor Course in Phuket, Elevating International Standards

The Sports Authority of Thailand and the Muaythai Committee concluded a foreign Muay Thai instructor training course in Phuket, raising standards to an international level.

The Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), through the Muaythai Sports Committee, organized the foundational-level "Muaythai Instructor Course (Introductory Level) for Foreigners 2025" from 3 to 7 February 2026 at the Dara Hotel in Phuket. More than 100 foreign participants attended, demonstrating strong interest and confidence in the SAT-certified Muay Thai curriculum.

The project aims to impart accurate Muay Thai knowledge aligned with academic principles and Thai cultural identity. Over 10 expert instructors holding A Licenses delivered both theoretical lectures and practical training to ensure participants can apply these standards effectively in international coaching.

The closing ceremony on 7 February was honored by Mr. Theerawat Silpa-archa, Director of the Muaythai Sports Promotion Division at the Sports Authority of Thailand, who presided over the event. He was joined by Mr. Thanawut Petchchara, Director of the Sports Authority of Thailand's Phuket Office, along with executives and instructors to present certificates to those who completed the course.

Mr. Theerawat Silpa-archa stated that Muay Thai instructors are vital in developing consistent international standards for the sport. He expressed confidence that graduates will effectively share their knowledge and experience to develop Muay Thai athletes.

Graduates receive certification from the Sports Authority of Thailand, marking the first step in their coaching development journey. They can build on this foundation by applying for higher-level Muay Thai instructor courses (C License) in the future, contributing to the systematic and continuous expansion of Muay Thai networks on the international stage.

The next training course is scheduled for 9 to 13 February 2026 at the Boutique Hotel in Pattaya, Chonburi Province.
