Father Now Has a Proper Home: Nong Fang, Olympic Silver Medal Hero, Reveals New House Funded by Prize Money (Video)

Father now has a proper home. "Fang" Theeraphong Silachai, Olympic silver medal hero, reveals images of his new house built with prize money.

On 7 Feb 2026 GMT+7, recalling the night of 7 Aug 2024 GMT+7, when the entire Thai nation sent support to Paris, France, 20-year-old rising weightlifting star "Fang" Theeraphong Silachai made history by winning the silver medal in the men's 61 kg category at the 2024 Olympic Games.

After winning the medal, "Khao Fang" shared his intention to use the prize money to build a house for his father, so his father would have a good place to live. Previously, they had to stay with his grandmother and relatives in his aunt's house because they didn't have enough funds to build their own home.

He once said, “The first thing I want to do with the prize money is to build a house for my father because I want him to have a home. The rest will be figured out later. I haven’t thought about the future yet. Right now, I want to build a house for my father first. Thank you everyone for your support.”

Recently, Khao Fang updated photos of his new house, built from his hard work and Olympic prize money. It is a single-story house in dark gray tones, contrasted by black window frames, with a wide lawn in front surrounded by nature and greenery.
