Nopparutphong Boonpraves secured a top 10 position in the Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup 2026 test round, gearing up for the opening race in Buriram province.
The Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup 2026 motorcycle road racing season is about to begin. Recently, all 22 riders participated in the test sessions held on 9-10 February 2026 at Sepang International Circuit, Malaysia.
Among the competitors is "Oom" Nopparutphong Boonpraves, a rising Thai rider from the "Honda Race to the Dream" program, riding bike number 20, who took part in the bike testing for this season.
On the first day of testing, which included six sessions divided into morning and afternoon, "Oom" Nopparutphong Boonpraves posted his best time in the morning during session 3 with 2 minutes 19.349 seconds. In the afternoon, he set his best time in session 5 with 2 minutes 18.790 seconds.
At the end of the first day, "Oom" Nopparutphong Boonpraves ranked 8th, 0.727 seconds behind the leader. On the second day, during three sessions, he improved his time in session 1 with 2 minutes 18.050 seconds and finished the second day of testing in 10th place.
Recently, "Oom" Nopparutphong Boonpraves said, "The test in Malaysia showed me many things and helped me make adjustments before the first race starts in Buriram. I'm looking forward to the race in Buriram. I'm excited to compete in front of Thai motorsport fans. I want to perform my best and aim for the podium again at home."
The 2026 Idemitsu Moto4 Asia Cup season's first race will be held at Buriram International Circuit, Buriram province, from 27 February to 1 March.
