Attakorn Likely Out as Bhumjaithai Plans to Reclaim Ministry of Tourism and Sports, Eyes Zabida as Replacement

"Attakorn Sirilattayakorn" is likely to lose his position as "Bhumjaithai Party" plans to reclaim the "Ministry of Tourism and Sports," with "Zabida Thaiset" being considered as his replacement.

On 15 Feb 2026 GMT+7, Attakorn Sirilattayakorn is reportedly on the verge of losing his post as a key figure in the Bhumjaithai Party-led government. The party plans to regain the quota for the Ministry of Tourism and Sports from the Kla Party and intends to appoint Zabida Thaiset from the Ministry of Culture to replace Attakorn, the current Minister of Tourism and Sports. The party will also directly oversee the Ministry of Agriculture. This was reported by the weekend news program hosted by Sarayut Sutthasna-jinda and Arisara Kamthornjaroen.

Sarayut Sutthasna-jinda stated, "Sources from the Bhumjaithai Party said they intend to reclaim the Ministry of Tourism and Sports from the Kla Party, which currently holds it under the caretaker government of Anutin Charnvirakul. At present, the Kla Party manages the Ministry of Tourism and Sports with Attakorn Sirilattayakorn serving as minister in Anutin Charnvirakul's government. Bhumjaithai is requesting to take it back."

"Zabida Thaiset has been designated to manage the ministry under the supervision of Ekniti Nitithanprapas, who will serve as Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs related to the Ministry of Finance but will also oversee the Ministry of Tourism and Sports. This is Bhumjaithai Party's idea, as they believe this ministry should work closely with the Ministry of Culture since tourism and sports primarily relate to culture. Zabida Thaiset is currently the Minister of Culture."
