Pittayaporn Saetan, a rising young cyclist from the Thai national youth team and the Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai team, won double titles in the time trial events for both the women's open and under-23 categories at the 2026 Thailand Road Cycling Championships, Round 2, held in Phichit Province. Meanwhile, Methasit Boonsaneh and Wipawi Dechabalas, two Thai national cyclists and gold medalists from the 33rd SEA Games, claimed the expected victories in downhill. Thanaya Naipinit, Governor of Phichit Province, expressed confidence that the Saranchit Mongkolsuk Cycling Stadium and the mountain bike course at Wang Thap Sai subdistrict would impress all competing athletes.
The 2026 Thailand Road Cycling Championships, competing for the King Bhumibol Royal Cup, and the Thailand Mountain Bike Championships, also competing for the King's Cup, Round 2 took place from 20-22 February 2026 in Phichit Province. The road cycling opening ceremony for the time trial event on 20 February at Saranchit Mongkolsuk Cycling Stadium (Bueng Si Fai) was presided over by Thanaya Naipinit, Governor of Phichit, with deputy governors Kitipol Vechakul and Thanit Phumthaworn, Public Health Doctor Wisit Apisitwittaya, Police Major General Songphon Sangkasem, Deputy Chief Executive of Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization Singharat Wongsengiam, Secretary General of the Cycling Association of Thailand Thitaporn Noirak, and other government officials attending.
Thanaya Naipinit, Governor of Phichit Province, revealed that Saranchit Mongkolsuk Cycling Stadium was graciously opened by His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen on 23 March 2024, gaining nationwide recognition. The province and all related agencies have maintained the facility in excellent condition, pleasing all visitors. She hopes it will leave a strong impression on all competing athletes. Regarding the mountain bike course at Wang Thap Sai subdistrict, Sak Lek district, Phichit Province has been continuously improving the venue with community cooperation, as locals recognize that cycling competitions help promote the community's profile. Phichit is ready to support all athletes to compete enjoyably and happily.
Deputy Governor Kitipol Vechakul stated that Phichit Province warmly welcomes all visitors. The arrival of many athletes and their entourages stimulates the local economy through spending on accommodations, restaurants, and tourist attractions, making these places lively. Phichit is safe and fully prepared to host sporting events of all kinds.
Notable results in the road cycling time trial events included the women's open category (21.54 km): 1st place - Pittayaporn Saetan, Thai national rising star from Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai, with a time of 30:44.277; 2nd place - Kamonrada Khaoplod of team KOM-KOM, 31:04.295; 3rd place - Phetcharin Somrat from the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence, 31:18.573.
In the women's under-23 category (21.54 km): 1st place - Pittayaporn Saetan from Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai, 30:44.277; 2nd place - Napatsawan Kaewtip of Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai, 35:32.827.
In the men's open category (21.54 km): 1st place - Peeraphong Ladngern from the Royal Thai Police team, 39:00.866; 2nd place - Thanakarn Chaiyasombat from the Office of the Permanent Secretary for Defence, 39:25.303; 3rd place - Peerapol Chaochiangkwang of the Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM, 39:41.322.
In the men's under-23 category (32.31 km): 1st place - Thanaphat Sakultra, Thai national cyclist from Prime 19 team, 41:30.582; 2nd place - Apisit Suphan of Gemburi team, 41:38.184; 3rd place - Tinpat Muangdej from Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM, 42:51.314.
In the boys' youth category (10.77 km): 1st place - Watcharapong Sanghasorn, Thai national from Fisherman Friend Wing 46 Phitsanulok, 14:41.453; 2nd place - Burapha Hingthisong of Bangkok Sports School & Roojai, 15:18.977; 3rd place - Athikun Saenta from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai, 15:35.391.
In the girls' youth category (10.77 km): 1st place - Kawisara Amkamnerd of Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai, 16:26.701; 2nd place - Siwaporn Phuttharam from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai, 17:08.488; 3rd place - Thanchanok Jinaphirom from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai, 17:10.156.
In the boys' junior category (21.54 km): 1st place - Kritphat Homkajorn, Thai national youth cyclist from PUM BIKE HOPINN SPECIALIZED LOPBURI team, 27:27.484; 2nd place - Kritphat Markthanat of PRIME19, 28:46.779; 3rd place - Patchara Sittisampan of Gemburi, 28:50.787.
Additionally, the mountain bike downhill competition was held at Khao Din viewpoint, Wang Thap Sai subdistrict, Sak Lek district. The event was broadcast live on Facebook Live via Thailand Cycling Association and on YouTube: TCA Channel, accumulating over 10,000 views. Notable results are as follows.
Women's open downhill: 1st place - Wipawi Dechabalas, Thai national cyclist and 33rd SEA Games gold medalist from Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM, with a time of 2:07.584; 2nd place - Nada Binmuhamad from Kasem Bundit University, 2:32.651; 3rd place - Wipawi Mungkang of SORHABIKE x SINTHORN, 2:42.739.
Men's open downhill: 1st place - Specialist Methasit Boonsaneh, Thai national cyclist and 33rd SEA Games gold medalist from Lomocycle Core-nutrition Veetireco Royal Navy team, 1:46.002; 2nd place - Siwarin Puangnun of SORHABIKE x SINTHORN Phuket Technical College, 1:55.275; 3rd place - Bunwich Nakwong from Royal Navy, 1:58.241.

On Saturday, 21 February, the mountain bike cross-country race took place at Khao Din viewpoint, Wang Thap Sai subdistrict, Sak Lek district, starting at 09:00 with a 4.73 km lap distance. The opening ceremony at 08:30 was chaired by Kitipol Vechakul, Deputy Governor of Phichit. In the afternoon at 15:00, a “Bike for Life-TCA GREEN CYCLING” health ride event was held, a collaboration between the Thai Health Promotion Foundation, the Cycling Association of Thailand, Phichit Province, and the Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization. The route covered 10.28 km around Saranchit Mongkolsuk Stadium (Bueng Si Fai). The opening ceremony was chaired by Krit Pensupa and was broadcast live on Facebook Live Thailand Cycling Association and YouTube: TCA Channel from 14:30 onwards.
