Sarawut, Chaniporn, and Natcha of OCHK Team Win Road Race Championships at Thailand National Cycling Competition, Stage 2

Cyclists Sarawut, Chaniporn, and Natcha from the OCHK team won championships at the Thailand National Road Race, Stage 2. Krit Pensupa, President of Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization, expressed enthusiasm and hopes such cycling competitions can be held every month to promote the sport and local economy and tourism in Phichit.


Sarawut Sirironnachai, a Thai national cyclist and participant in the 20th Asian Games, delivered an outstanding performance to win the road race at the Thailand National Cycling Championships, Stage 2, held in Phichit province. Chaniporn Batriya won the women's public category, and Natcha Songken secured the women's under-23 title. Krit Pensupa, President of Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization, expressed happiness over nearly 2,000 cyclists and supporters participating, which greatly energized the local economy and tourism. He revealed a desire to hold such cycling events monthly. The event was live-streamed on Facebook with over 14,000 total views.


The Thailand National Road Cycling Championships for the King's Cup and the Mountain Bike Championships for His Majesty the King’s Cup, Stage 2, took place from 20-22 February 2026 in Phichit province. The road race start ceremony on 22 February at Saranjit Mongkolsuk Cycling Track (Bueng Si Fai) was honored by President Krit Pensupa of Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization as the chair, alongside Deputy President Singharat Wongsengiam, Navy Captain Thitaporn Nuirak, Secretary-General of the Cycling Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, and other government officials. The event was live-streamed on Facebook Live via Thailand Cycling Association and TCA Channel, as well as YouTube TCA Channel, with over 14,000 combined views.


President Krit Pensupa of Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization stated that Phichit province has hosted the national road and mountain bike cycling championships for the fourth consecutive year. The atmosphere remained lively with strong cyclist participation and nearly 2,000 attendees including followers. The “Bike for Life - TCA GREEN CYCLING” health cycling activity also saw hundreds of local residents participate. Particularly, the mountain bike race in Wang Thap Sai subdistrict, Sak Lek district, generated income for local vendors selling mangoes, mayongchid fruit, food, and beverages. Community leaders warmly welcomed visitors, fostering a hospitable environment.


President Krit Pensupa said he hopes this event will continue to grow in significance, with Phichit Provincial Administrative Organization co-hosting annually. He emphasized the importance of stimulating the local economy and tourism, noting that hotels were fully booked and restaurants busy. As a provincial leader, he wants such beneficial events monthly to establish Phichit as a key tourist destination. However, he acknowledged the need for more capable hotels and invited large investors to develop hotel infrastructure. He stressed that the provincial administration and all sectors must collaborate to organize more activities year-round to attract athletes and tourists continuously.


Notable results from the road race included the women's public category (64.62 km), where the top three spots were claimed by Thai national cyclists preparing for the 20th Asian Games. First place went to Corporal Chaniporn Batriya from the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense with a time of 1:41:43, second to Kamonrada Khaoplaod of team KOM-KOM at the same time, and third to Natcha Songken of Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai also at 1:41:43.


In the women's under-23 category (64.62 km), first place was Natcha Songken, a Thai national cyclist from Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai, finishing in 1:41:43. Second was Hathai Phet Jaisawang of team Saungsin Your Own Skin at 1:41:44, and third was Pittayaporn Saetan, also from Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai, finishing in 1:44:04.


In the men's youth category (64.62 km), first place was Kritapas Homkajorn, a Thai national youth cyclist from PUM BIKE HOPINN SPECIALIZED LOPBURI team, with a time of 1:31:16. Second was Patchara Sittisampan from team Gemburi at the same time, followed by Surasit Suetrong of team BIKENET also at 1:31:16.


In the women's youth category (43.08 km), first place went to Kawisara Amkamnerd from Fisherman Friend Chiang Mai with a time of 1:18:41. Second was Phumrat Chalermkit from Fisherman Friend Wat Dong Noi at the same time, and third was Thanchanok Jinapirom from Bangkok Sports School & Roojai team finishing at 1:18:42.


In the men's public category (75.39 km), Corporal Sarawut Sirironnachai, a Thai national cyclist preparing for the 20th Asian Games from the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, won the championship with a time of 1:38:05. Second place was Wing Commander Peeraphon Chaokhiengkwang from the Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM at 1:38:05, and third was Apisit Suphan from team Gemburi at 1:38:06.


In the men's under-23 category (75.39 km), first place was Thanapat Sakultae from Prime19 with a time of 1:38:06. Second was Tinpat Muangdet from the Air Force Cycling Team KOM-KOM at 1:40:07, and third was Pongpol Iyakrit from the National Police Office-Koki team at 1:38:06.


The mountain bike Eliminator race at Khao Din viewpoint in Sak Lek district produced the following notable results: In the men's public category, first place was Chief Warrant Officer Watcharakorn Onthuri from the Navy team Trinx Chaoyang Arisun OkO / Sing Buri, second was Corporal Poonsiri Sirimongkol from the Office of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defense, and third was Volunteer Ranger Methasit Boonsane from Lomocycle Cornutrition Veetireco Navy.


In the women's public category, first place went to Pornpak Praphottang from Chiang Khan Military Circle 28, followed by Atitaya Nuprokon from Ban Kruat Witthayakarn School. Complete results can be found on the Cycling Association of Thailand’s website at www.thaicycling.or.th.


The Cycling Association of Thailand will next host the Thailand National Road and Mountain Bike Championships for the King's Cup, Stage 3, from 6-8 March 2026 at Khao Phra Ya Den Thong Municipality, Phatthana Nikhom district, Lopburi province.
