"Nong ST - Wareeraya" delivered a perfect run, rose to 11th place, and secured a ticket to the Quarter Final of the World Skateboarding Championship in Brazil.
The World Skateboarding Championship, organized by World Skate, took place in São Paulo, Brazil. This event affects qualification points for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, USA. In the women's street qualifying round last night, 66 athletes from 30 countries competed, with only 32 advancing to the next round. The Extreme Sports Association of Thailand sent two Thai athletes: "Nong ST" Wareeraya Sukkasem and "Nong Ai" Natthiyaporn Nawakitwong.
"Nong ST" Wareeraya lived up to her status as a top Thai contender with a "Perfect Run" from her very first attempt, scoring 31.14 points and soaring into the Quarter Final ranked 11th worldwide. Her outstanding performance drew loud cheers from the crowd. Meanwhile, "Nong Ai" Natthiyaporn gave her best effort, finishing 45th. Although she did not advance this time, she gained invaluable experience on the world stage.
