MOONEYES of Bangkok Celebrates 10th Anniversary Brings the Worlds Best Custom Creations to Thailand

"MOONEYES of Bangkok Celebrates 10th Anniversary" in grand style, gathering the world's top custom creations in Thailand. Showcasing the legendary VW Beetle race car "MOON BUG" and raising Thai custom culture to the global stage.

A historic highlight was the first-ever appearance in Thailand of the legendary VW Beetle race car "MOON BUG," flown directly from Japan for Thai fans to experience up close. Additionally, there was The Ultimate Lucky Draw for a customized Honda GB350C motorcycle, uniquely crafted by the renowned Fatboy Design workshop—one of a kind in the world.

The Thai custom automotive scene is set for a revival as MOONEYES Shop BKK held the grand "10 Years Anniversary MOONEYES of Bangkok." This event was not just a car show for enthusiasts but positioned as a key platform to promote Thai craftsmen and artists to the international market, connecting global Kustom Kulture networks to Thailand.

Mr. Mark Jakrapan Rungsukcharoen, CEO of MOONEYES of Bangkok, revealed that the event’s concept was to elevate the gathering of custom car lovers into the central hub of the Kustom Kulture industry in Asia.

"10 Years of MOONEYES of Bangkok is not just an event where drivers park and leave; it is the driving center of Thailand’s Kustom Kulture industry and a crucial platform to expand Thai craftsmen's businesses into the Asian market."

Thailand is home to many world-class Pinstripe, Airbrush artists, and Custom Builders but lacks an international platform for showcasing their work. This event invited representatives from MOONEYES networks across Asia, including executives from Japan and the U.S., to provide opportunities for Thai artists and entrepreneurs to network globally and turn their passion into exportable businesses.

Another major highlight was raising the standards of the Thai custom industry by inviting legendary figures such as Mr. Shige Suganuma from MOONEYES Japan, Pinstripe master Wildman Ishii, and world-renowned custom builders Gabriel (USA) and Ben Foster (Australia), along with guests from several countries. Receiving critiques or awards from these legends marks a significant step for Thai craftsmen toward the international stage.

The event also launched the Custom Car & Bike project by MOONEYES of Bangkok, featuring creations by Thai craftsmen, alongside the display of original legendary Chopper motorcycles from the famed American workshop Cycle Zombies, brought by Big Scoot and Scooty, father and son icons in the custom world.

Meanwhile, top custom artists from Thailand and abroad gathered for the Kustom Art Gathering, showcasing live Pinstripe and Airbrush artistry on vehicles, led by master Wildman Ishii from Japan.

The event extended beyond vehicles to embrace the full street lifestyle culture, including Mooneyes Skatepark & Pro Show with skateboarding performances by rising stars nurtured by Mooneyes, the launch of Mooneyes Racing Team Thailand celebrating recent dragster championships in both two- and four-wheel categories, and a concert by the famous Japanese Rock ’n’ Roll band Johnny Pandora, who flew in to enliven the event.

The 10 Years Anniversary MOONEYES of Bangkok was held on Saturday, 14 March 2026 GMT+7 at the Srinakarin Train Night Market. It marked a major milestone for the Thai custom community, showcasing Thai craftsmen’s capabilities to the world and reinforcing Thailand’s role as the center of Kustom Kulture in Asia.
