Visit Scores Back-to-Back Wins and Advances in National Tactical Shotgun Team Selection for World Championship

"Visit" surged late to claim back-to-back championships in two events and advanced in the national tactical shotgun team selection for the world championship.

The Thailand Tactical Shooting Sports Association, together with the Samut Prakan Provincial Shooting Sports Association, jointly organized the "Paknam IPSC Handgun-Shotgun Championship" (1st edition of 2026) at the Samut Prakan Tactical Shooting Sports venue from 21-22 Mar 2026 GMT+7. The competition attracted 156 handgun shooters and 90 shotgun competitors. Notably, the shotgun event served as the sixth of seven national selection rounds to choose athletes for Thailand's tactical shotgun team, which will compete at the 2026 World Championship in Greece this September.

In the men's division, Police Colonel Visit Sriyapai maintained excellent shooting standards. After winning the fifth round last week, he again secured the championship in this event, positioning himself as a strong contender for the final national selection round scheduled for early April.

Other winners included: Women's division, Miss Parinthorn Jamrian; Men's Standard Auto division, Pongpol Kulchairatana; Women's Standard Auto, Miss Natakorn Pramayan; Men's Standard Manual, Mr. Pansa Kaeokaew; Men's Modified, Mr. Watcharaphol Charoendechkul; and Women's Modified, Miss Thanawadee Peakyaem.

Mr. Worawit Chuananan, Vice President of the Tactical Shooting Sports Association and manager of the national shotgun team for the world championship, expressed gratitude to all athletes and the Samut Prakan Shooting Sports Association for their enthusiastic participation. He explained that this event was one of the national team selection rounds for the team to be sent to the world championship in Greece this September. Scores from the best four of seven rounds will be combined to select the national representatives.

"After six selection rounds, many athletes across various divisions have performed well, with scores very closely contested. The seventh and final round will be held at the association's venue at the Eastern National Sports Training Center in Chonburi in early April. It promises to be exciting as it is the final selection and an international-level competition, which will add to the athletes' enthusiasm," said the Vice President of the Tactical Shooting Sports Association.
