Air Chief Marshal Chatinnat Starnphait, Chairman of the Subcommittee for the Royal Thai Air Force Sports Center at Don Mueang and head of the summer youth golf training project “Chang - Royal Thai Air Force,” said, "This year marks an important milestone as the 18th year that the Royal Thai Air Force Youth Golf Training Center has partnered with Chang Natural Mineral Water to organize the summer youth golf training project. It opens opportunities for youth aged 9 to 17 who are interested in golf to train and develop their skills to their full potential during the school break. This project emphasizes building a solid foundation in both golf techniques and key skills, with experienced coaches from the Royal Thai Air Force Youth Golf Training Center providing knowledge throughout the one-month period. The training curriculum is tailored to each age group and covers fundamentals, short game skills, and strategic play, enhancing both physical and mental readiness to progress to higher levels of competition and ultimately to a professional golf career."
Mr. Phasaworn Pitrangsee, Senior Manager of the Sports Excellence Project ThaiBev ThaiTalent at Thai Beverage Public Company Limited, representing Chang Natural Mineral Water, stated, "Chang Natural Mineral Water is committed to supporting and sustainably advancing Thai golf by developing golfers from youth levels to professional ranks. We continue our partnership with the Royal Thai Air Force Youth Golf Training Center to hold the summer youth golf training project “Chang - Royal Thai Air Force” for the 18th consecutive year, providing financial support of 600,000 baht annually to aid the center in training and developing young golfers."
This year, Chang Natural Mineral Water has collaborated with the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters to send youth golfers to participate in this project, providing them the opportunity to learn golf skills and make productive use of their school break.
Over the years, this project has nurtured more than 2,800 young golfers who have advanced to higher-level competitions and developed into leading professional golfers in Thailand, including “Pro Fever” Nitithorn Thippong, a three-time Asian Tour champion; “Pro To” Phisitchai Thippong; “Pro Mark” Panawit Onju; as well as rising star “Nong Kati” Ngamphan Channa, who grew through this program, gaining experience and competitive achievements that have led to significant life opportunities, such as preparing to study in the United States.
Additionally, youth who perform exceptionally well during the training will receive 20 skill development scholarships from Chang Natural Mineral Water. The top performers aged 13 to 17—four in total (two male and two female)—will earn the opportunity to join the “Chang Thailand Junior Golf Clinic 2026” training program scheduled for later this year.
The 2026 summer youth golf training project “Chang - Royal Thai Air Force” is scheduled to take place from 23 March to 23 April 2026. Those interested can follow project news and updates through the Facebook page: Chang Golf Club.
