WAGC Qualifying Round 2 at Royal Hills Produces 11 Top Amateur Golfers Advancing to Thailand Championship

Kan-enak Saksricharoen won Flight A at the World Amateur Golfers Championship 2026 Thailand Qualifying Round 2 held at Royal Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Nakhon Nayok Province, along with 10 top amateur players advancing to the Thailand national final.


On 25 Mar 2026, the World Amateur Golfers Championship Thailand is a competition to select the top amateur golfers to represent Thailand and compete against amateurs from over 45 countries worldwide in the WAGC 2026 World Final held from 23-31 Oct 2026 in Johor Bahru, Malaysia.


The qualifiers consist of 10 leading golf courses across Thailand, played as 18-hole stroke play. The competition is divided into five flights: Flight A handicap 0-5.4, Flight B 5.5-10.4, Flight C 10.5-15.4, Flight D 15.5-20.4, and Flight E 20.5-25.


Two players from each flight (1st and 2nd place) totaling 10 players plus one lucky draw winner, making 11 players per venue, qualify for the Thailand National Final Round on 14 September at Siam Country Club Bangkok.


At Thailand Qualifying Round 2 at Royal Hills Golf Resort and Spa in Nakhon Nayok, 11 top amateur players advanced to the national final. In Flight A, Kan-enak Saksricharoen took first place, joined by runner-up Siwat Eksiripongphat, who also qualified since Narudon Yeejeen, the first runner-up, had already secured his spot from Round 1.


Additionally, cumulative scoring is tracked throughout the qualifiers. Every participant receives 10 WAGC Thailand Points, with the top 10 finishers at each venue earning special bonus points according to the WAGC Thailand points table. The top three point earners per flight, totaling 15 players, also qualify for the national final.


In the Thailand National Final Round, the tournament will select only one winner from each flight, totaling five players, plus one lucky draw winner, making six representatives to compete in the World Final in Johor Bahru, Malaysia from 23-31 October.

The lucky draw winner from Round 2 was Banphot Phongtrakun.


The next qualifying round will be held on 13 May 2026 at Laem Chabang International Country Club in Chonburi Province.
