The fund team immediately visited the field after transferring payments directly to athletes, accelerating the enhancement of support for Thai athletes.
At 08:00 on 2 April 2026, General Dr. Supamanas Pharapob, Executive Committee Member of the National Sports Development Fund and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Performance Monitoring, visited the field under assignment from the chairman and vice chairman of the fund’s executive committee.
Accompanied by personnel from the fund office to closely monitor operations, they visited the Thai national teqball team’s training session as preparation for the 6th Asian Beach Games to be held in the People’s Republic of China.
During this visit, they discussed with athletes and coaches the direct allowance payment system, with the first transfer having been made on 1 April 2026 by the National Sports Development Fund and the Sports Authority of Thailand to ensure swift, transparent, and direct support to athletes.
They also encouraged the athletes during their training camp to prepare for international competition and delivered motivational advice to boost morale and continuously develop their potential towards excellence.
Athletes Jutatip Kantathong and Areeya Homdee, representing the teqball team, said, “Direct payment transfers to athletes are very positive and mark a good start for system development. However, there remain limitations in the process because coaches must enter the data into the system, which can sometimes cause delays.”
The National Sports Development Fund will take suggestions from athletes and coaches to improve operational processes, aiming to enhance efficiency and continuously elevate support for Thai athletes.
