
The thrilling conclusion of the Thailand Jet Ski Championship “Nong Khai Grand Prix 2026,” the season's opening round, took place at Nong Khai Pond, Wat That Subdistrict Municipality.
The Thailand Jet Ski Championship event, "TOYOTA - WGP#1 Waterjet Pro Tour Thailand 2026," delivered four days of intense action from Thursday, 2 April to Sunday, 5 April 2026, at Nong Khai Pond, Wat That Subdistrict Municipality, Nong Khai Province, a key lung area of the Northeast. The Thailand Jet Ski Association and WGP#1 as organizers received support from the Sports Authority of Thailand, the National Sports Development Fund, Siam Watercraft, and the Government Lottery Office to host this grand competition.
The ceremony was honored by Nong Khai Governor Mr. Saransak Srikruenat as the award presenter, alongside Nong Khai Provincial Administrative Organization President Mr. Wuttikrai Changlek and Wat That Subdistrict Municipality Mayor Mr. Pramote Suksawat. The Thailand Jet Ski Association under royal patronage, led by Police General Detnarong Sutthichanbancha, president of the association, warmly welcomed guests and guided them to watch the professional final round of WGP#1.
In the PRO-AM RUNABOUT 1100 OPEN class, “Boy” #45 Suphatat Futrakul from team 45 MAXIMA YAMAHA TEAM PAW, a five-time Thailand champion and three-time World Cup winner, the “King of 1100 Open,” made a masterful comeback after injury. He delivered a perfect game, scoring a full 180 points, putting himself back on track to pursue his sixth Thailand championship.
#639 Akin Niphatjaroen, a rising star recently promoted from the WGP#2 class (semi-professional and amateur) representing RIVAL FACTORY RACING, emerged as a dark horse. He upset the current Thailand champion #T19 Anon Hongklang from BANGKOK CLUB by FAST POWERSPORT THAILAND to claim the title in the fastest and most powerful professional standing boat class, PRO-AM SKI GRAND PRIX, at the exciting first round in Nong Khai!
In the SPORT GP class, the sleek semi-standing/seated boat category, #T8 Keeratikorn Phiowngam from YAMAHA WAVE RUNNER THAILAND x MRC POS PZ SHOP SAMUT SAKHON, Thailand's 2023 champion, returned to reclaim the national title this year. Showing fierce form to the enthusiastic Nong Khai fans, he scored 173 points to win the “Nong Khai Grand Prix 2026.”
The highlight of the day was the PRO RUNABOUT 2000 GP class: the fastest and most powerful seated boats in the world. The battle featured defending champion “Poon” #T79 Permpol Theerapatpanich from PUSAN SEADOO JET SKI TEAM NAKHONPATHOM against “The Power Champion” #142 Kasidit Theeraprateep from FKT CONCRETE. After exchanging wins and ties with 108 points each, the championship was decided in the final moto. Unfortunately, “The Power Champion” #142 Kasidit suffered a boat breakdown during the race, allowing “Poon” #T79 Permpol to claim the title in this class.
