International Carbine Pistol Competition Held for the First Time in Thailand Ronayut Sports Association Delighted with Five Nations Intense Marksmanship Contest

International carbine pistol competition held for the first time in Thailand; Ronayut Sports Association pleased with strong marksmanship as five nations compete enthusiastically.

The Ronayut Sports Association of Thailand organized the international shotgun and carbine pistol (PCC) competition titled "THPSA Shotgun & PCC Championship 2026" at the Ronayut Shooting Range within the Eastern National Sports Training Center in Chonburi province from 3-6 April 2026 CE. The shotgun event featured 135 competitors, while the PCC carbine pistol event had 83 participants from five countries: China, the Philippines, South Africa, Hong Kong Special Economic Zone, and Thailand.

This carbine pistol (PCC) competition marks the first time the Ronayut Sports Association of Thailand has hosted an international event in this category. The competition results are as follows.

In the overall men's category, the champion was Mr. Watcharaphol Charoendetchakul, while the overall women's champion was Police Lieutenant Patcharin Inhom. In the super senior category, Mr. Nantawat Thiansetchakul won, and in the senior category, Mr. Chatchai Na Bangchang took first place.

Meanwhile, the shotgun competition served as the final point-earning event for selecting the Thai national team to compete in the 2026 World Championship in Greece this September.

The winners in each event were as follows: Open category—men's champion Mr. Anurak Devajin, women's champion Ms. Pimmada Lertkrai; Standard Auto—men's champion Mr. Pongpol Kulchairatna, women's champion Ms. Natakorn Pramayan; Standard Manual—men's champion Mr. Wisanu Puanglamjiak, women's champion Associate Professor Dr. Natakorn Pramayan; Modified—men's champion Mr. Peeranut Tanpaireh, women's champion Ms. Thanawadee Puekyam.

Mr. Chalitrat Jantrubeksa, Secretary-General of the Association and acting manager of the Thai national shotgun team for the 2026 World Championship, stated that the Association held seven qualifying matches, with the best four scores counting toward selection. Athletes had to meet the Association’s score criteria. Throughout the selection process, the dedication and participation of the athletes were evident. The Association expects to perform better than at the 2023 World Championship. The national shotgun team roster will be announced next week.

"This PCC carbine pistol competition is the first international event officially recognized by the Association. This discipline is growing in popularity, especially in Southeast Asia. This time, we had 82 participants, which marks a great success. The Association hopes this shooting sport will become increasingly popular in the future," said Mr. Chalitrat.
