Singha Swimming Club Dominates with 40 Gold Medals to Close Thailand Championships 2026

The "Singha Swimming Club" heated up the competition to a boiling point as their sharks and mermaids united to claim 40 gold medals, closing the Thailand Championships 2026 with a grand victory. They secured the Best Club Award for the 5th time in the past 6 years since 2021. Meanwhile, "P'Gamma" Purichaya Chanyamitree made history by breaking the official women's 100m breaststroke record with a time of 1:10.18, becoming the fastest woman ever in Thailand for this event.

The Thailand National Swimming Championships 2026 (Speedo Thailand Age Group Swimming Championships 2026) took place at the Sports Authority of Thailand Swimming Pool from 3 to 8 April 2026.

The event concluded with smiles and success for the Singha Swimming Club’s sharks and mermaids once again. The club delivered outstanding performances, leading the team to the championship with a total haul of 40 gold, 21 silver, and 28 bronze medals, amassing 2,686 points to win the Best Club Award for the 5th time. They set five new Thai national records and broke 14 meet records. This year’s competition featured 1,113 athletes from 5 countries representing 185 clubs.

Among the standout achievements, Singha Swimming Club athletes won three Best Athlete top honors. Leading the way was "P'Gamma" Purichaya Chanyamitree in the open category, who won gold in the 100m breaststroke and set a new Thai national record of 1:10.18, making history as the fastest Thai woman in this event (1 gold, 2 bronze).

In the 16-18 age group, "Nong Gam" Thitirath Charoensap broke the Thai national record in the 1500m freestyle (1 gold, 2 silver). Similarly, in the 14-15 age group, "Nong Joobjeeb" Chayanis Sirapongsak set a new Thai record in the 100m butterfly (3 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze).

Additionally, Singha Swimming Club secured two second-place Best Athlete awards with "Nong G-Dear" Kittipoom Pornpaisanwijit and "Nong Pleng" Napak Saiyawong, who broke the Thai national records for the 12-13 age group in the 50m and 100m backstroke events respectively.

The club also earned four third-place Best Athlete awards from "P'Noon" Ton Nam Kantimul, "Nong Aom" Warisara Nopthong, "Nong Mia" Mia Millar, and "Nong Noddy" Supakorn Jaikla. This collective success across all age groups has been consistent since 2021, with Singha Swimming Club winning the Best Club Award five times in the last six years.

Looking ahead, after concluding the Thailand National Championships 2026, Singha Swimming Club is preparing to send athletes to compete and aim for another outstanding performance at the 21st Singapore National Swimming Championships 2026 (21st SNSC 2026) at the OCBC Aquatics Center, Singapore, from 27 to 30 May 2026.
