This time, the team fields world champion players aiming for 3 gold medals in the contested events. Meanwhile, jujitsu targets 2 gold medals, and beach volleyball and kabaddi each aim for 1 gold medal.

Updates on Thailand's national team participating in the 6th Asian Beach Games from 22-30 April 2026 in Sanya, People's Republic of China. Thailand is sending a total of 176 athletes to compete across all 14 sports.

Regarding the readiness of Thailand's teqball athletes, one of the nation's medal hopes, they have been continuously training. This time, world champion players such as Juthatip Kanthathong, Supawadee Wongkamchan, Pakphong Dechjaroen, Sorasak Thesiri, and Jeerati Janliang will compete for 3 gold medals in the three contested categories: men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

"Coach Jo," Somsak Duangmuang, head coach of the Thai national teqball team, revealed that teqball is included for the first time in the Asian Beach Games. The Thai players' abilities are among the best in Asia and the world, which no team doubts. However, adjustments are needed because this competition is on the beach, so athletes must improve their consistency playing on sand. All players need to adapt, play meticulously, and place the ball precisely.

The head coach added that after more than a month of training, the players have adapted well to playing on sand. Playing on sand requires more effort than usual, but the team has emphasized adjusting and strengthening this area. He also thanked the Sports Science Center of the Sports Authority of Thailand for helping to enhance the athletes' physical fitness and strength.

Meanwhile, athletes in other sports on Thailand's national team have also been continuously preparing and are ready to compete. Jujitsu aims for 2 gold medals, while beach volleyball and kabaddi each target 1 gold. In climbing, they hope to place in the top 3. Beach soccer, beach wrestling, and beach handball will strive to perform at their best.
