‘Thaya,’ President of TPSA, is delighted with the strong pickeball trend and is preparing to host the ‘Thailand Championship’ from May 1 to 3.
Thaya Teepsuwan, President of the Pickleball Sport Association (TPSA), along with the association’s committee, visited the “Pickleball Playground” venue, welcomed by executives from Central Pattana at the plaza in front of CentralWorld shopping mall.
Ms. Thaya, President of the Pickleball Sport Association, revealed that pickleball is rapidly gaining popularity. She thanked the private sector, especially the Central Group, for supporting the venue, which helps more people access pickleball. The association plays a role in advising on standard court specifications and international rules.
She also spoke about the association’s recent activities, focusing on organizing competitions continuously for players of all ages. The latest event, “LivWell 55+,” for those aged 55 and over, was held for the second year and received excellent responses and success.
Another major upcoming event is the “Thailand Pickleball Championship 2026 Presented by BRAGG,” scheduled for May 1–3, 2026, at Pickleball Warehouse, Rangsit, Pathum Thani. All competition categories will be divided into Intermediate and Open levels for men and women, in age groups 19+, 35+, 50+, and 60+. This marks Thailand’s first time recording ranking points for Thai athletes. The association aims to develop this ranking system for the long-term benefit of Thai players.
Additionally, for the first time, a wheelchair pickleball competition will be held to promote social equality on May 3, 2026, at Benjakitti Park, with cooperation from the Thai Para Pickleball Club and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration providing venue support.
“The association is committed to systematically, properly, and sustainably developing pickleball in Thailand, pushing athletes toward professional and national team levels, as well as raising standards to the international stage in the future,” the TPSA president concluded.
