Biw Puripol Prepares for First-Ever Running on Sand at the 2026 Asian Beach Games

"Biw Puripol" is confident and unpressured as he prepares to run on sand for the first time at the 2026 Asian Beach Games.

On Tuesday, 21 April 2026, "Biw" Puripol Boonsorn, Thailand's top runner, is set to make history by competing in the 6th Asian Beach Games (Sanya 2026) in Sanya, China, from 21 to 29 April 2026. This will be his first time competing in a race on sandy beach terrain. He is confident and ready to bring medals back to Thailand.

"Biw" shared his feelings about this new challenge: "I'm excited. Everyone on the team, including Coach Gee, is excited because this is the first time at the Beach Games. I don't feel pressured or nervous; instead, I enjoy trying something new. "My goal is to win medals and bring them back for Thai fans. I also want to have fun with it."

"Biw" Puripol Boonsorn will compete in two main events: the men's 60 meters (qualifying rounds start 24 April at 09:30) and the men's 4x60 meters relay alongside "Ta" Sarawut Dabung, "Oat" Thawatchai Hiemied, and "Ice" Chayut Kongprasith.
