On 25 April 2026, at the 6th Asian Beach Games held in Sanya, China, in the men's 60-meter final, "Biu" Phuriphon Boonsorn met expectations by finishing first with a time of 6.62 seconds. Silver went to Huang Zhaoyu of China with 6.67 seconds, and bronze to Liu Yang with 6.74 seconds.
This marked Thailand's second gold medal at the 2026 Asian Beach Games, following "Bell" Jirapatch Chanonta's victory in the women's 60-meter sprint.
