Honda Racing Thailand is sending a team of riders to chase podium finishes in three top classes at the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 Round 2 in Buriram.

Honda Racing Thailand is fielding riders aiming for podiums in three top categories at the FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 Round 2, scheduled from Friday, 8 May to Sunday, 10 May 2026, at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province.

Starting with the Asia Superbike 1000cc (ASB1000) class, Thailand's sole contender "Chip" Nakarin Athiratphuvapat, rider number 41, aims to improve his performance to become the season champion. After the first round in Malaysia, "Chip" Nakarin Athiratphuvapat has battled through challenges and accumulated 13 points. He stated:

"The home race is very special to me. I’m familiar with Chang Circuit and have delivered good performances here before. My goal is to maximize this familiarity, especially during qualifying. Securing a front-row grid position will give us a significant advantage. This year’s competition is very intense, and I cannot underestimate anyone. The cheers from Thai fans will give me more energy and motivation to fight for victory."

Meanwhile, in the Supersport 600cc (SS600) class, the young rider "Mix" Thanach Laongpliu, number 31, had an excellent debut abroad with a podium finish, accumulating 24 points and ranking in the top 5 of the championship alongside Asia’s most experienced riders. His teammate, "Highpec" Kritsada Thanachot, number 18, faced a tough challenge in the first round but managed to collect 6 points.

Finally, in the Asia Production 250 (AP250) class, another highlight exciting Thai speed fans from the first round is the fiery form of rookie "Fer" Panjarut Jitvirunchat with his trusted Honda CBR250RR, number 12. Competing as a full-season rider for the first time, he showed aggressive performance, climbing to disrupt Asia’s leading group and fiercely contesting the podium. He secured top 4 finishes in both races and currently ranks 4th in the championship standings with 26 points.

The FIM Asia Road Racing Championship 2026 Round 2 schedule features practice sessions on Friday, 8 May, followed by qualifying to determine starting positions and Race 1 on Saturday, 9 May. The event concludes with Race 2 on Sunday, 10 May 2026, all taking place at Chang International Circuit in Buriram Province.
