Although she unfortunately missed the top title, Malaika Kar, first runner-up of Miss World Thailand 2026, received significant support from her boyfriend, Thai national footballer Benjamin Davis, who stood by her side and always encouraged her.
On 11 May 2026, Malaika revealed that Benjamin understands her well, especially her tendency to overthink and the pressure she faced during the contest. He constantly reminded her to be herself as much as possible.
“He told me to give my best and be myself because he knows I tend to overthink and put pressure on myself. He said whatever I do, just be myself, because if people are going to love me, it should be for the real me.”
Although on the final night Benjamin was occupied with a football match in Chiang Rai province and couldn’t watch the contest live, he didn’t forget to send a message of encouragement immediately after the event ended.
“He sent me a message saying he was very proud of me, that I did great and looked beautiful, which made me very happy.”
Malaika also shared that their relationship is not only about support during tough times but also about sharing similar life goals: wanting to contribute to society and be good role models for children and youth.
“In the end, Benjamin and I share the same goal, which is to serve the nation, create a positive environment for children and youth, and be good examples for society.”
They are a couple who continuously support and encourage each other amid pressures and expectations from various sides.
