TSU and Supersports Join Forces to Launch National Amateur Tennis Community Structure to Elevate the Sport

TSU announced a strategic partnership with Supersports to establish a national amateur tennis community structure designed to systematically and sustainably elevate Thailand's amateur tennis sector.

The press conference and memorandum signing ceremony took place on Saturday, 23 May, at ALM X Impact Tennis and Sport Center, with a large attendance including executives, prominent figures in sports and business, professional tennis players, amateur tennis players, artists, actors, and tennis enthusiasts.

“Hai” Nipitphon Phungthamthanaphumi, founder and CEO of Tennis Summit Universe Limited (TSU), stated that this collaboration marks a significant step for Thailand’s tennis community as it grows to a national level. TSU officially signed an exclusive strategic partnership with Supersports.

Nipitphon added that over the past 2-3 years, TSU began with the goal of building a community for amateur tennis players, recognizing the gap between professional athletes and general players, including beginners who need space to develop skills, compete, and connect with like-minded individuals. Simultaneously, global trends are moving toward Longevity, aligning with TSU’s belief that tennis supports long-term health through exercise, social interaction, and cultivating a quality lifestyle.

TSU is also among the pioneers adapting the NTRP Rating system, developed by the United States Tennis Association (USTA), to fit Thailand’s context, making player levels like 3.0 to 5.0 a common language within Thailand’s amateur tennis community.

Additionally, TSU has established standards for competitions, amateur player classifications, and rankings tailored to actual players in the community, with official implementation planned soon—marking a major step in setting new standards for Thailand’s amateur tennis sector.

Currently, over 1,000 players have participated in real competitions within TSU’s system, with thousands of matches played and a community engaged in daily play through TSU Club. This growth stems from TSU’s main activities such as the TSU Tournament, TSU Arena, TSU Bootcamp, and the upcoming TSU League.

Regarding the partnership with Supersports, Nipitphon noted that Supersports is more than a sports retailer; it is a key driver in Thailand’s sports industry. Sharing aligned visions, both parties aim to build a National Community Tennis Ecosystem to realize the concept of “A Future of Tennis Culture” in Thailand. This collaboration goes beyond sponsorship to laying the foundation for a national amateur tennis community, providing a space for everyone to be part of the sports community and enhancing experiences through connections in competitions, people, activities, and sports products and services.

Nipitphon further stated that various sectors are increasingly recognizing the importance of the tennis community, reflecting clear growth and expansion of the sport. TSU remains committed to being a main driver in Thailand’s tennis community, pushing for tangible and sustainable development.

“This is just the beginning—not only for TSU but for structural change in Thailand’s tennis community under our longstanding slogan, ‘A TOURNAMENT THAT IS NOT JUST COMPETITION,’ meaning competition is more than just competing.”

The event was honored by the presence of executives and key figures from sports and business sectors, including Wiyada Buranapakorn, Senior Assistant Managing Director of Marketing at C.R.C. Sports Co., Ltd.; Nithi Nakakes, Director of the Thai Real Estate Association and Managing Director of Rimpe Beach Property Co., Ltd., and advisor to Tennis Summit Universe; Sorasak Somrongkraisukrit, a party-list Member of Parliament from the People’s Party; Israj Jirathiwat, Head of Leasing at Central Pattana PCL; Ded Chinsupakkul, Managing Director of K Food Guru Co., Ltd.; and Tammarin Thanasukan, former world-ranked No. 19 female tennis player.

Also attending were professional tennis players, amateur players, artists, actors, and tennis fans, including Bom - Nontach Thanawatyanayong, Kiak - Watthikorn Permsubhirun, Gun - Ratchanon Ruenphet, and Beeb - Sirasan Howijit, reflecting the growing strength and increasing interest in Thailand’s amateur tennis community.
