"Seth Muek" is advancing the sports organization by introducing artificial intelligence (AI) technology to enhance the capabilities of the support staff of the Cycling Association of Thailand in administration, finance, and planning, alongside athlete development, aiming to improve organizational management efficiency to meet international standards.
"Seth Muek," General Decha Hemkrasri, Vice President of the Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC), President of the ASEAN Cycling Federation (ACF), and President of the Cycling Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, revealed that the association recognizes the importance of personnel development—not only enhancing the abilities of athletes, coaches, and referees, who are crucial for raising cycling standards, but also the support staff, including executives and administrative and financial officers, whose roles are equally vital to technical operations.
General Decha stated that with the rapid and impressive advancement of artificial intelligence (AI), especially in data analysis and organizing efficient operational systems, the Cycling Association of Thailand has initiated a training program on AI use for its support staff to enhance their technical knowledge and proper application of AI to meet the association’s goals effectively and in the right direction.
"For this training, the Cycling Association of Thailand received support from Ramkhamhaeng University, which sent Assistant Professor Dr. Phakorn Juleang, Director of the Computer Institute at Ramkhamhaeng University and an AI expert, to conduct the training curriculum for association staff across administration, planning, finance, and the integration of operational systems aligned with the organization's mission and objectives. The association recognizes the importance of personnel who support cycling development towards excellence and achieving the standards outlined in the association’s strategic plan," General Decha said.
General Decha added that for athlete development, coaches across all cycling disciplines in the association have applied AI systems to analyze measurable data from individual athletes along with laboratory test results to design appropriate, precise training programs that genuinely promote progress aligned with desired goals.
"However, the use of AI technology in each area is merely a modern tool that gathers a wide variety of currently dispersed data, processes it, and offers theoretical recommendations. Users must still analyze the data collected and processed by AI systems to apply it effectively in real work, ensuring maximum efficiency and alignment with the true direction and goals of each sector," General Decha concluded.
